My Story
Earth is Art, a Photographer is the Witness
I am Ekaterina Shipova Bell,
a photographer, painter and graphic artist living and working in Adelaide, Australia.
I was born into an artistic family and have always known that my greatest passion is for Art. I graduated from the Saint-Petersburg Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design, with a Master Degree as a Designer in Textile Art, majoring in Interior Design. However, photography always consumed my thoughts and artistic expression.
I am grateful to have had such talented and inspirational professors that lectured me at the Academy. I am also blessed to have shared so many great experiences with my peers at the Academy and all people who have entered my life and shaped me into the artist I am today.
As with my painting, my photography represents my artistic creativity and tireless passion. My works reflect my own world and reality revealing the inner beauty of people. My photographs express emotion, engage the audience in thought and build a story beyond the photograph.
As an artist, I explore unique ways to express the beauty and spiritual essence of people and landscapes by bringing to life atmosphere, mood, colours and texture. I seek to create a sense of space and awareness of specific environments.
My art combines different genres of photography including: Portrait, Fashion, Commercial, Editorial and Documentary photography.
